We have been remote for the last 6 years!

Do you wonder how we have developed solutions without a physical office?

We tell you how!

Since we don't have a physical office, we can’t go to one of our partners' desks for a consultation, that’s why we use a workspace that allows us to communicate anytime we want so work can flow, and that’s space it’s called SLACK. We know that its use is quite common today, still we want to outline all its functionalities that makes us stay connected and being in synced throughout our entire day:

Slack is opened on Safari Browser

What Does Slack

Provide?

- Chat rooms organized by topic, private groups,

- Direct messages,

- Calls and video calls

- Mobile and desktop version.

- Set reminders for yourself or others

- Searchable message history

We can chat with any member of the team at any time, exchange files, images, among many other things. It is a tool that really connects us by giving us a sense of community since we are located in different cities around the world. We feel like we are in a real office!

We are a multidisciplinary team of UI / UX Designers, Product Managers, Backend & Frontend Developers and QA Testers. All day we are working together creating solutions for a variety of clients, and we feel connected to this particular app due its user experience and functionalities that makes us perform better, faster and efficiently by having real time collaboration, quick questions and decision making, especially on-boarding new team members since we are a complete remote company.

However, Slack not only connects us as a team but also with all of our clients. We have a variety of channels depending on the project. We work this way because we want our communication to be as collaborative and transparent as possible, since this is one of our pillars to success.

4 reasons we consider every Team should use Slack.

  1. Increase team productivity: We strongly believe simple is the way to go. We know that in many teams or companies communication is a solid basis for performance, the more difficulties there are for better communication flows then it will be more difficult to achieve the expected level of productivity. Slack makes it easier!

  2. Collaborate and coordinate work: No matter where our team members are, we can collaborate and coordinate our daily tasks thanks to its mobile and desktop versions. We can instantly text messages, follow up on several assignments, share documents and files, basically you can stop losing things in the email box thanks to Slack.

  3. Privacy and Security: We feel safe when using Slack. We have that sense of privacy in our communications, and also security when handling key data. Slack will also keep important information out of your team’s email accounts.

  4. Apps integration: Being a team in the tech industry, integrations are a major deal for us!. We can encounter an app integration ecosystem made up of more than 1500 applications from development tools like GitHub, Jira, to business tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot and ServiceNow.

What the Team likes the most about Slack is.

What I like the most about slack is having a channel for each client and the integration it allows with other applications.
— Giancarlo Valencia - Tech Lead

"That you can pin an important message to find it faster later"- Melissa Castro - Back end Dev

"The possibility of organizing the different issues that arise within the company with the channels and threads, is something that you do not have in other platforms such as a wpp chat, where everything would quickly become chaotic"- Daniel Vasquez - Front end Dev

"Follow-up is much easier with Slack than with email"- Fernando Llinás - Account Manager

"The experience is the same on any platform and in real time, web, ipad, mobile, mac, pc, etc "- Diego Barrera - UI / UX Designer

"I like Slack’s notification system because you can @ mention teammates, which is a great way to get their attention "- Katherine Cardona - QA Manager

Nowadays companies around the world have seen a change in their usual work environments. They have changed offices for home studies and face-to-face meetings for virtual meetings; relying even more on technology and the internet to communicate with their teams and clients to meet today's needs and stay afloat. However, this scenario is not new for Soluntech. We realized 6 years ago that to accomplish our goals we were not in need to be in an office or even in the same city.

Although we do believe that as a team in order to achieve the best results possible it requires hard work, attention to detail,  excellent communication channels, constant follow up, creativity and great organizational skills.

We use numerous digital platforms and tools that provide us with security when performing our daily tasks to deliver high quality service to each of our clients.

Think no more!
